Jesus' Commission

Jesus’s resurrection brought euphoria to his team when they finally accepted its reality. Into this ecstatic atmosphere, he gave them his commission. Let's look at its detail as recorded uniquely from each gospel writer, and in the book of Acts. By studying these visionary directives, we discover the full extent of his overall commission for his church, including:

· Teaching his word in the authority of the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ,

· Making disciples of all nations,

· Preaching the gospel of his resurrection everywhere to everyone,

· Believing for signs to accompany, follow, and confirm the preached word,

· Preaching repentance and the remission of sins,

· Shepherding and feeding his flock,

· Going in the same way that Father sent Jesus, but

· Wait until you are baptized in the Holy Spirit and clothed in His power, before you step out in obedience to your assigned part of this great commission.

I pray that the Holy Spirit reveals truth and gives you a profound understanding of Jesus’s commission and deployment of his church. I also pray that he then guides you into your assigned part(s) of his visionary commission.
