What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy collaborating with other teams within the business. I love being able to provide feedback that helps drive change in making our processes more efficient and improving the experience of our clients and members.
How does HealthEquity help you connect with your purpose or motivation?
I find purpose and motivation within HealthEquity from excellent leadership. My manager sets a high standard of excellence, providing me with guidance and support to help me reach my full potential. This encourages me to strive to continually improve and come up with innovative solutions to provide the best possible support and services to our customers. Knowing that my efforts are seen and valued makes me inspired and motivated to work to the best of my ability.
What’s one thing on your bucket list?
I long to return to Norway with the intent to witness the remarkable brilliance of the Northern Lights. My last visit was four years ago, but unfortunately, it was during the summer solstice, when the sky never fully turns dark. I feel my journey won't be complete until I have seen the magical Aurora Borealis.
Why did you choose to work at HealthEquity and what keeps you here?
A suggestion from a family friend convinced me to apply for this job, and I'm so glad I did! Not only do I really enjoy the culture here, but I'm also lucky to have had the chance to work alongside such incredible people, so I can't envision leaving any time soon.
Tell me something that might surprise people to know about you.
I had the pleasure of working at Disney World, particularly in the candy shop. I always looked forward to creating beautiful candy apples and making them come to life with character designs.
How have you grown professionally while with HealthEquity?
I have developed greater assurance in myself and my abilities, which has been of great benefit in my job.
What surprises you most about our culture?
It's wonderful when people are eager to help each other out and are united in their shared objectives. It creates a supportive atmosphere where everyone knows that they can count on one another.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be and why?
I am passionate about learning Norwegian to be able to communicate with my grandmother, who is from Norway. I would be excited to surprise her by being able to speak her native language one day.
If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you’d do?
I would buy my dream home!
What’s the greatest compliment that you’ve ever received from somebody? How did it make you feel?
The kindest words I have ever received are that I am trustworthy and dependable. It fills me with pride to know that friends and family know they can rely on me in times of need.
