Jeff Williams celebrates 23 years at S A Partners

“When I joined S A Partners 23 years ago with several years of “best practice” experience under my belt and having just graduated with a Lean Thinking MBA, I thought I knew everything about being a Business Improvement Consultant. Little did I know what an exciting, rewarding, and motivating journey I would go on for the next 23 years with “daily learning” being a key element.

From my first day when I was literally told to “grow a moustache so you will look older when you walk into a client’s Boardroom” by one of the founding Partners, to 2022, when I am sitting on the S A Partners Global Leadership team and being known as the “wise owl”, it's been a pleasure, a challenge and a privilege to have been on this journey and I wouldn’t have changed this career for anything- and I will write a book on my escapades when I retire in a few years time, which will include some great stories!

When I get asked by new starters to our business “what are the key elements of being a successful and effective consultant”??- my steer is always 1) be yourself not someone you are not 2) make sure you know your subject (competence), 3) make sure you are confident in what you are doing and 4) make sure you can develop a great working relationship with the people in your clients
