How long have you been at The Third Floor?

3 years plus

What first sparked your interest in entertainment (movies/games) as a career?

As soon as I learned that making cartoons was a job, I had to check it out.

How did you approach your training and education into the world of visualization and entertainment?

I went to school for animation and built my foundation. 80% of the rest of my education and training came from working here.

What led you to work in the visualization and entertainment industry?

An overwhelming love for animating and storytelling.

What do you do to keep your skills relevant?

I am constantly researching and practicing ways to tell stories. Different genres, mediums, artists have unique takes worth exploring.

What drew you to The Third Floor?

It’s impressive list of past projects.

What do you love most about your current job at The Third Floor?

I get to be a kid every day and work on some of the coolest projects ever

Are you currently in the same position you started in at The Third Floor? If not what has your career progression been while at TTF?

I started as an Apprentice and then became a Previs Shot Creator/Animator!

What advice would you give someone looking to get into this industry?

Always practice your craft and make sure you have a passion for it.

What is the best thing about Los Angeles?

The variety of literally anything you can think of, from food to things to do to people.

What were you doing before you came to The Third Floor?

Personal projects after graduating college.

How would you describe the culture at The Third Floor?

Friendly and fun. Until we get down to business to defeat the Huns.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

Everywhere

What piece of media was the biggest influence on you as a kid? As an adult?

As a kid, I was obsessed with my VHS tapes and cartoons. Now, it’s anything with a killer story.

Name one fun fact about yourself that we may not know!

I can clap with one hand.
