Gerome is the artist who painted the Bashi-bazouk warriors the most, and this indicates that he undoubtedly dealt with them at least once, they are very fierce and quick to anger, in addition to their high strength
Even in one story, one warrior among them killed two Egyptian soldiers in an Egyptian café. Knowing that the soldiers are trained and that they are peasants who have high physical strength! This explains somewhat their steadfastness in front of Napoleon's army.
Another story is that one of the Bashbuzouk warriors killed an Egyptian watermelon seller because he was selling watermelon at a high price! This sounds crazy, but it's SUPER MADNESS This indicates that these warriors were very angry and perhaps easy to please!
Gerome himself even painted for us a beautiful painting of a carpet seller. On the right of the painting appears an Egyptian seller shouting at a warrior. It seems that the warrior is very serious very sharp, and (elegant); I like his clothes
.These Bashbuzouks are Albanians in origin, and the Albanians have special clothes similar to Greek clothes, specifically the beautiful white fustanella. They were most visible in Albania, Egypt, and Turkey. In Egypt, they can be distinguished by their head covering, which is the shawl and headband, or small turbans, and I think that Gerome is the only artist who paint them in their full military uniform, he made history for us.
Absolutely love how you're shedding light on the beauty and intricacies of 19th-century fashion through art, just like Jean-Léon Gér?me did. ??? As Picasso famously said, "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." Speaking of making a difference, there's an opportunity to sponsor a Guinness World Record attempt for Tree Planting that might intrigue you. Let's beautify the world together - both through art and action! ???? [https://bit.ly/TreeGuinnessWorldRecord](https://bit.ly/TreeGuinnessWorldRecord)
???? "Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." - Edgar Degas. Jean-Léon Gér?me's mastery brings 19th-century fashion and scenes vividly to life, inviting us to explore the rich tapestry of the past. @shanmjy, you're illuminating the beauty of art history with each post! ?#ArtLoversUnite
