JBIC welcomes Philippines entity
The JBI Collaboration continues to grow as those who are passionate about evidence-based care unite in their desire to improve the quality and outcomes of healthcare globally through evidence synthesis, transfer and implementation.
We are delighted to welcome the Center for Health Research and Movement Science: A JBI Affiliated Group, located at the Center for Health Research and Movement Science (CHRMS) at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.
Manila, dubbed the ‘Pearl of the Orient’, is the capital and second-most-populous city in the Philippines. The JBI Affiliated Group conducts research projects and offers consulting services in the areas of evidence-based practice, public health, wellness and promotion, musculoskeletal research, community-engaged research, pain management, paediatric occupational participation, rehabilitation innovations, technological advances, and neuroscience and rehabilitation.
Director,?Professor Valentin C. Dones III, emphasises their commitment to promoting evidence-based practice in healthcare and public health settings, highlighting the importance of utilising systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines to empower health professionals, athletes, patients and the public to incorporate evidence-based approaches into their work.
JBI is known worldwide for promoting and supporting evidence-based decisions that improve health and health service delivery. The training and support it fosters for its Collaborating Centers will fortify CHRMS’ role in the local and, in the future, national settings.
