JBI Colloquium in Kochi set for 2025

Embracing diverse, culturally relevant healthcare policies, practices and perspectives

The biennial JBI Colloquium has officially launched and will take place at Le Méridien Kochi in India, 19 to 21 November 2025. The theme for the 2025 JBI Colloquium is ‘Diversity in Healthcare, Unity in Evidence: Achieving Improved Health Outcomes', emphasising the strength in embracing diverse, culturally relevant healthcare policies, practices and perspectives guided by robust evidence to foster inclusivity.??

This much-anticipated event will bring together interprofessional and multidisciplinary researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals and providers, and community representatives to discuss shared evidence-based practices, promoting a collaborative approach to tackle health disparities and improve health outcomes.?We can drive innovation and develop adaptable evidence-based practices by recognising and integrating cultural, social, and technological diversity and promoting a collaborative environment.

The event will be held in collaboration with two JBI Collaboration Entities from India: The Amrita Centre for Evidence-Based Oral Health and Evidence Synthesis and Implementation for Indigenous Health.?India's healthcare system is one of the largest and most diverse in the world, characterised by a mix of public and private healthcare providers. This diversity presents a unique setting to discuss and showcase the importance of evidence synthesis in healthcare decision-making, as it can cater to a wide range of healthcare contexts and challenges.?

Kochi, the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’, is a coastal city in India with a rich cultural heritage, historical significance, and natural beauty. It offers a vibrant backdrop for the colloquium, providing a unique blend of colonial influences, traditional art forms, and stunning landscapes. From the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets to the picturesque Fort Kochi Beach, Kochi provides an immersive experience for those attending the 2025 JBI Colloquium.
