Welcome to episode 47
I.???????????????? Introduction
Last week was an unplanned break.? JB in the Wild is about travel, for travelers.? Meaning, occasionally there will be random weeks where there’s “radio silence”.? Why? As a traveler, being in the moment wherever you are is the essence of exploration.
Going forward the plan is to write more often, ideally leading to fewer missed weekly episodes.? No promises.? I enjoy storytelling, sharing my travel experiences, and listening to your travel dreams, that’s what this is all about.?
This week in Florida it’s on the cooler side.? The temps have been fluctuating, warm, mild picture-perfect days to breezy and cool.?Winter is fading and it's spring training baseball season, a popular time to travel south.
Are you making a trip to Arizona or Florida?
Who’s your team?
My new team is the Giants.? Long time Athletics fan over the drama.
In this episode, treehouses.? When I was a kid, my brothers, friends and I attempted to make a treehouse, to no avail. ?We grew up in a wooded canyon, just beyond the horizon from urban cityscapes.
Plenty of sturdy trees to support our vision.? Lack of proper tools and marathon sessions playing video games distracted us. ?Full time adulting these days, there’s still a desire for a lofty, rustic perch.
Also in this episode, Mexico City green spaces.? A huge metropolis, the city offers a lot of natural sights and sounds.? A photo essay.?
…and travel trivia!
II.?????????????? Treehouses – Rustic Lodging
Treehouses come in a variety of sizes from “cozy” to opulent.? Amenities, spartan to luxurious.? Around the world, a look at some amazing properties.? A lofty perch, in the mornings coffee in hand, views for days.? Rustic settings made for inspiration.? Creatives, dreamers and explorers this one is for you.
Our first treehouse is a woodsy retreat in Western France.? A 90-minute drive from the Bay of Biscay quaint and unique structures privately owned roosts above, on the outer edge of Les Epesses.
Surrounded by a lush tropical curtain, this one is not technically a treehouse.? It will give you all the sensations.? Two houses north of Denpasar Bali, this idyllic scene is an incredible retreat. Note the hot tub in the foreground.
Glamping at its most luxurious.? Envision waking to a soft golden sunrise, a panoramic view, Kruger National Park in South Africa awaits.? Along the Sabie River, this is what an African Safari experience is supposed to be.
Want to be above the canopy with the birds and expert jungle climbers, this 10 story high treehouse is a dream come true.? Rolling forested landcape surrounds in southern Peru, near the Bolivian border.?
A picturesque tropical garden radiates from a unique hotel in Playa del Carmen Mexico.? A modern pool surrounded by a jungle lodge raised on stills.? This is a slice of paradise.
