CoincidÃĒncia juntar estilo musical e objetivo institucional.

CoincidÃĒncia que em 17 de agosto de 2019 (... se curioso, me escreva perguntando!), Carlos Calado escrevia na Folha sobre o cinquentenÃĄrio, dez anos antes, do lan?amento do ÃĄlbum ic?nico do jazzista Miles Daves – “Kind of Blue”, em 17 de agosto de 1959.

CoincidÃĒncia que em 2019 encontrei Tsen Chung Kang, diretor de pesquisa de novos negÃŗcios, no Grupo Jacto, para falar de governan?a coorporativa. Nessa ocasi?o, trouxe o jazz como inspira??o para uma institui??o, de pesquisa e inova??o, moderna. Uma conversa de mudan?a cultural de lideran?a sobre os modelos tradicionais de corpora??o predominantes na academia.

Miles realizou, em “Kind of Blue” uma das obras-primas da mÃēsica do sÊculo XX. Com liberdade oferecida, demonstrou o entendimento da simplicidade nos temas do ÃĄlbum, promoveu solos inventivos e assertividade dos improvisos alcan?ados pelos mÃēsicos do quinteto.

N?o obstante ao tema da gest?o de projeto, mais claramente de projetos de pesquisa e inova??o, e dos níveis de maturidade tecnolÃŗgica, Tsen tambÊm provocou a discuss?o de oportunidade e prontid?o. Essas, anotadas e compartilhadas dentro de novos relacionamentos, tÃĒm despertado consciÃĒncia da transforma??o para organiza??o de novos projetos dentro da quÃĄdrupla hÊlice de inova??o.

E assim ocorreu com Miles, no jazz, ao inspirar o trabalho característico do quinteto, que em um primeiro momento p?de assustar “ouvintes mais acostumados à linguagem do universo da mÃēsica pop”, caracterizando uma mudan?a de cultura.

Voltando à pesquisa, o Instituto Agron?mico (IAC), junto à Funda??o Shunji Nishimura e a Secretaria de Agricultura do estado de S?o Paulo, alÊm do Instituto BiolÃŗgico, Fatec, Unesp e Esalq/USP, construirÃĄ uma interface avan?ada para incorporar conhecimentos agron?mico sob tecnologias de inteligÃĒncia artificial (IA) generativas, como por exemplo o ChatGPT.

Essa inciativa serÃĄ liderada pelo novo Centro de CiÃĒncias para o Desenvolvimento Smart B100 (CCD-SB100), apoiado pela Fapesp e iniciativa privada. O CCD-SB100 criarÃĄ índices de decis?o multicritÊrio para o aumento da eficiÃĒncia de utiliza??o de fertilizantes e bioinsumos, promo??o da qualidade do solo e produtividade das culturas. TransformarÃĄ resultados de pesquisa em recomenda??es precisas para o agronegÃŗcio, de forma ÃĄgil, atendendo mercado de carbono e economia de recursos para a sustentabilidade do negÃŗcio.

Pergunta: o que esse texto traz ao leitor alternando jazz e gest?o de projeto? A resposta simples, num ambiente muitas vezes complexo, Ê como um grupo de trabalho, alinhado em suas competÃĒncias e em objetivos comuns, pode realizar um trabalho de excelÃĒncia, como naquele ÃĄlbum! Na banda de jazz, a afinidade profissional se junta àquela afinidade pessoal e os resultados acontecem.

Assim, o time de jazz do CCD-SB100, formado por mais que um quinteto de pesquisadores, Ê definido por uma equipe na qual cada um personifica a sua miss?o e se esfor?a para alcan?ÃĄ-la, facilitando a lideran?a do projeto.

Expandindo a coincidÃĒncia, neste final de semana, tive o prazer de encontrar Islan Santos e mÃēsicos convidados num tributo à Miles Daves, no Cine Teatro ItÃĄlia, cuja exibi??o permitiu capturar nessa histÃŗria o conteÃēdo para escrever.

Jazz and Project Management (on Research and Innovation)

It is a coincidence that musical style and institutional objective come together.

It is a coincidence that on August 17, 2019 (... if you are curious, write to me asking!), Carlos Calado wrote in Folha about the fiftieth anniversary, ten years earlier, of the release of the iconic album by the jazz musician Miles Daves – “Kind of Blue”, on August 17, 1959.

It is a coincidence that in 2019 I met Tsen Chung Kang, director of new business research at Grupo Jacto, to talk about corporate governance. On that occasion, he brought jazz as inspiration for a modern research and innovation institution. A conversation about cultural change in leadership regarding the traditional corporate models that predominate in academia.

In “Kind of Blue”, Miles created one of the masterpieces of 20th century music. With the freedom offered, he demonstrated an understanding of the simplicity of the album's themes, promoting inventive solos and assertive improvisations achieved by the quintet's musicians.

In addition to the theme of project management, more clearly of research and innovation projects, and of technology readiness levels, Tsen also provoked discussion of opportunity and enthusiasm. These, noted and shared within new relationships, have raised awareness of the transformation for organizing new projects within the quadruple helix of innovation.

And this is what happened with Miles, in jazz, when he inspired the quintet's characteristic work, which at first could scare “listeners more accustomed to the language of the pop music universe”, characterizing a change in culture.

Returning to research, the Agronomic Institute (IAC), together with the Shunji Nishimura Foundation and the Secretariat of Agriculture of the state of S?o Paulo, in addition to the Biological Institute (IB), Fatec, Unesp and Esalq/USP, will build an advanced interface to incorporate agronomic knowledge using generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, such as ChatGPT.

This initiative will be led by the new Center of Sciences for Development Smart B100 (CCD-SB100), supported by Fapesp Foundation and the private sector. CCD-SB100 will create multi-criteria decision indexes to increase the efficiency of fertilizer and bioinput use, promote soil quality and crop productivity. It will transform research results into precise recommendations for agribusiness, in an agile manner, serving the carbon market and saving resources for business sustainability.

Question: what does this text bring to the reader by alternating jazz and project management? The simple answer, in an often-complex environment, is how a work group aligned in its skills and common goals can produce excellent work, as in that album! In a jazz band, professional affinity meets personal affinity, and the results happen.

Thus, the CCD-SB100 jazz team, formed by more than a quintet of researchers, is defined by a group in which each person embodies their mission and strives to achieve it, facilitating the leadership of the project.

Expanding on the coincidence, this weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Islan Santos and guest musicians at a tribute to Miles Daves, at the Cine Teatro ItÃĄlia, whose performance allowed me to capture content for this story to write about.
