I made it easy today, instead of writing a newsletter. I decided to record a video on the latest on Java licensing and warn you before you contact Oracle about any purchase of Java licenses.

• Oracle will want to conduct a review of all your Java deployments before you are presented with any licensing agreement.
• This means you should double check and triple check your licensing and be fully read up on Oracle licensing rules, policies around soft partitioning (Oracle on VMware)
• I share some recommended steps in the video below. Do them before contacting Oracle and it can help you avoid an Oracle audit.
