Java Developer

Role

He/she is involved, inside his squad, in the development of ENCORES+/V’ger Enterprise (Novum). Following the agile methodology, is involved on a day to day basis in the analysis, coding/building and delivery of APIs to the application areas in scope. Will provide technical support in the other members/developers of the DevOps. Will have to take in charge a continuous development cycle of Encore+ platform and AGA portal to support EGD business. Could be in charge of an extended scope on new application (APIs in Java or NodeJS, Front-End in Angular JS or React)

 Job Responsibilities

• Develop new functionalities of the Encores+ platform including AGA portal;
• Review specifications and code supplied by DevOps team members, check the performance and the respect of the development standards, deliver formal acceptance of their work;
• Contribute by providing analysis and recommendations not directly linked to business requirements with continuous improvement of applications;
• Stay permanently focused on the robustness and sustainability of the applications.

Key performance indicators

• Develop solutions that “work”;
•  Provide realistic estimations;
• Manage efficiently the risks related to technical and architectural changes;
• No complaints from the users or from Operation teams originating from a bad design or coding in Production;
• Measurable improvement of the technical/functional quality of the software;
• Ability to adapt her/himself to technical scope changes.

 Job Requirements:

• Strong experience in IT analysis and development;
• Ability to be a technical leader and referent; provide pragmatic and realistic solutions to technical issues;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Ability to gain recognition from both Dev and Ops;
• Technical experience: Java 8 – 5 years devops experience; JavaEE, EJB- 2-3 years experience;JSON- 2-3 years experience;
• Fluent in English (written and spoken). 

Preferred:

• Skilled in some new technologies within AngularJS, React;
• GIT, Jenkins, Maven;
• Spring MVC;
• Hibernate;
• Open JPA;
• Knowledge of JavaScript and/or NodeJS is a plus;
• Experience in designing microservices and using resilient anti fragile patterns is a plus;
• Experience in API design and development;
• German is a real plus.
