Jared's Christmas Message

Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues,

Woah - another year is coming to a close and there's more to reflect on the ever before!

2014 has been an amazing year at Groupon with some huge accomplishments within Wholesale travel, the travel team and Groupon Australia. On a personal note I'm also thrilled that two weeks ago I married my teenage sweetheart of 8 years Emily, who's been a pillar of support and encouragement which has allowed me to dedicate myself to helping grow our little giant at Groupon.

This year we've achieved our highest YoY growth in history, we've also dominated consumer interested and engagement across the board. Groupon has stabalised and we are etching closer every day to being the place where our customers come to buy anything, anytime for any place. There's a whole load of charts and stats I could share but really, who wants to adsorb a bunch of numbers three days out from Christmas?!

Personally this year has been a joy, I've had the privilege of planning my own wedding and travelling to celebrate with our friends and family back in my homeland New Zealand earlier this month. We also spent a week on the remote Fijian island of Nukubati - if you ever get a chance to visit I can't recommend it enough (token deal plug - https://travel.groupon.com.au/en/deals/719500483). In addition I've further engaged in my passion for scuba diving - Emily and I are planning on beginning a research project in the new year studying the natural behavior of the critically endangered Grey Nurse Shark along the NSW coast which will be a fantastic passion project.

Have a fantastic break over Christmas and the New Year - I hope all your homes are filled with love, celebration and time to rest and recover before tackling 2015 head on.

Meanwhile I'll be somewhere under the ocean making life less boring...
