From the land where the train is always on time...
Japan has just announced that it will start issuing its long-anticipated digital nomad visa within the next few weeks, inviting remote workers to experience the unique blend of traditional culture and modern innovation that the country has to offer.
The country is currently ranked as the fastest-growing remote working hub in 2023.
The visa will be available to nationals of 49 countries, a list that includes the United Kingdom and the United States. Once obtained, visa holders can legally live and work remotely from anywhere in the country for up to six months.

Scenic Landscapes
From bustling cities like Tokyo to serene landscapes like Mount Fuji, Japan offers diverse and stunning scenery. Remote workers can choose to work with a backdrop of city lights, picturesque nature, or even find inspiration in traditional Japanese gardens.
Not forgetting you wouldn't have to worry about this commuter train if you're working remotely in Japan ??
However, some barriers to entry stick out for this visa:
While the digital nomad visa for Japan comes with specific criteria, meeting these requirements might seem challenging for some remote workers, but they are not impossible.
Wondering how to secure a job that pays the minimum annual income required for the visa?
