In this era if we look around we will find many Japanese Cars on Roads rather than locally assembled Cars. As it is famous about Japanese cars that they are good at giving best fuel average with all the comfort, so the people are going for it. The one reason of increasing in Japanese cars on road is careem and uber as people are investing in these companies with Japanese cars which results in less amount for fuel and big saving for them. Many cars showroom have large numbers of Japanese Cars rather they have locally manufactured. Let’s review both the Japanese and the local cars.

Japanese are giving many options and safety features in their hatchback cars, starting from engine, mostly hatchback Japanese cars have 660cc engine with a good fuel average and chilled AC while on the other hand if we go for locally manufactured hatchback the minimum cc was 800 but recently Pak Suzuki came out with the new Alto 660 cc variant. The minimum amount to buy a Japanese car is around 12,000,00/= PKR. In this price tag if you buy Japanese car it will be equipped with Chilled AC, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Power Steering, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), SRS Safety Air Bags, large seating compartment with extremely comfortable suspension, good looking and power pack small engine with automatic transmission and better fuel economy. While locally hatchback manufactured cars does not offer these features and if they offer then you will find a big difference in Price tag and the Quality.

People are also afraid of buying Japanese cars as they have fear that the car could be accidental or the mileage of car has been reversed. Yes, this is happening, but to avoid this fear buyer should demand the auction sheet of car from seller and you will find all the real details from minor to major of car. Auction sheet is also a Japanese car document which arrives with car from the Japan and the sheet can be verified through concerned Japanese websites. There are some Japanese cars ruling the road very well that includes Mira, Passo, Aqua, Prius, Vezel, Alto, Nissan Dayz and Juke etc.

When it comes to Maintenance people say that their mechanics are not available easily but in reality it has become the old myth. The expert mechanics and electricians are available even in local market and regarding parts, Parts are also available in market but they are not cheap as compare to locally manufactured cars’ parts.

To get better car that offer many options and safety features with Cheap cost of Service and Spare Parts we should give a chance to others local manufacturers that are already operational in the market with dealer network such as FAW and United Bravo. FAW is Chinese car that is being manufactured in Pakistan. FAW V2 is one of the local hatchback that is equipped with 1300cc engine with Dual Airbags, ABS & EBD Brakes, Power Windows & Electronic Power Steering in just price tag of 1,499,000/- (Ex-Factory Price), while on the other hand if we compare it with Suzuki Swift that has almost same features except SRS Air bags that comes in price tag of 1,905,000.

United Bravo is also a Chinese car that was launched to compete Suzuki Mehran. United Bravo is equipped with many basic modern features such as Electric Power Steering, Power Windows, Interactive Multimedia, Stylish Tachometer, Reverse view camera with sensor and alloy rim. The common thing between Suzuki Mehran and United Bravo was its engine displacement and that is 800 cc except that Mehran had nothing any catchy feature as United Bravo has. The Mehran was discontinued in April 2019 and its price at that time was 923,000/-. While, the current price of United Bravo is 925,000/-

We hope in future, Pakistan will not only be ruled by just three Automotive companies that are Suzuki, Toyota and Honda. As other well known automotive brands has already setup their plants and dealerships in Pakistan that includes Hyundai and KIA. Hyundai is operating under the roof of Nishat Group. While Lucky Group owns KIA Motors. Except that, Changan Motors has also setup their production facility under the umbrella of Master Motors and Regal Automobiles is all set to launch their Chinese hatchback vehicle that is Prince Pearl (DFSK). So, because of these companies the competition of locally manufactured cars will be high and the companies which are currently ruling the Pakistan going to face many big challenges as they are already facing due to economic issues of the country.
