2. Bristol
Bristol has been found to be the second most affected place by Japanese knotweed in the UK. Altogether finding that Bristol has 1,121 infestation cases of Japanese knotweed.
3. Bolton
Bolton gained the title of being the ‘Japanese knotweed capital of the UK’ in 2022 and is now 3rd on the 2024 list with 1,010 infestations being reported.

Since 2021 Cardiff has been sat at 4th place on the Japanese Knotweed Hotspot list, with approximately 400 reported infestations.
