Japan warns the UK

At the G20 summit in China, Japan opened up with a salvo across the bow of the UK's democratic choice to leave the EU.

It openly demanded a number of items the UK had to achieve when negotiating Brexit in order for it to not withdraw all of its existing and planned FDI (the UK currently receives over half of all funds bound earmarked for EU). This is tantamount to an act of economic war.

Do the Japanese, who lets face it, have enough on their plate with the Chinese breathing down their necks (we haven't even heard from Trump yet on his views of the Japanese) that they want to start kicking the English.

Did they learn nothing from the second world war. We little islanders are rather good at involving other people in our conflicts.

Least we forget that thanks to the sacrifices that were made by the the UK and the Commonwealth (taking nothing away from the losses of our Americans cousins) there may well be a Japanese flag flying over large portions of asia including China.

Did we demand, despite the fact that Japan committed so many atrocities during the war, that they not be allowed to regrow their country.

The UK is simply excersicing its right to democracy something the Japanese, who still revere their Emperor as living God, are able to do.

Issuing threats to the UK is not what a friend does when that friend decides to alter course.

Japan has undermined our negotiating position by giving those EU members who want to punish the UK a number of items (in a 15 page document) that the UK 'must achieve'.

We should never forget that national interests are what drive every government.

Thanks friend...
