We've had a bright start to 2025 and hit the ground running! The first Talent Incubator Programme (TIP25) module took place in Innsbruck, bringing together a select group of young urologists from around the world to sharpen their skills in leadership, human connection, career networking, and more!

?? Will you participate in the Prostate Cancer Data Registry? At the end of last year the EAU UroEvidenceHub (UEH) launched the Prostate Cancer Data Registry. This groundbreaking platform gathers real-world data on clinical outcomes and patient experiences to identify trends, enhance decision-making, and advance personalised treatments. As participation grows, the insights will revolutionise prostate cancer care. UEH invite healthcare providers, researchers, and patient organisations to join in this collaborative effort. EAU Podcast: Kidney cancer take-home messages ??Our last #EAUPodcast of the year was an expert review of ‘kidney cancer take-home messages for 2024’, with UROONCO RCC editorial board chief editor Dr. Carmen Mir, and associate editors Dr. Teele Kuusk and Dr. Riccardo Bertolo. They discussed highlights from the results on several important trials such as FASTRACK, ZIRCON, KEYNOTE-564 and IMmotion010. They also discussed the latest surgical developments. ?? Aviation's lessons for urologists - Situational awareness in emergencies: In this article, Dr. Stefan Haensel (NL), EAU Section of Outpatient and Office Urology Board Member and Captain Gianluigi Zanovello, Ex-fighter pilot (IT), explore how aviation's focus on training non-technical skills (NTS) - such as situational awareness, teamwork and communication, can also be used in surgical training for urologists to enhance safety and efficiency in emergencies. While technical skills are crucial, they can be insufficient for emergency or complex scenarios. Dr. Haensel draws parallels with aviation and highlights the importance of simulation-based training to strengthen NTS in urology. Read more.

Research fellowship report: Experience with Da Vinci Single-Port (DVSP): Dr. Donato Cannoletta from IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan (IT) recently completed a European Urological Scholarship Programme (EUSP) consisting of a 6-month research fellowship at UI Health Hospital in Chicago. "I had the opportunity to use the DVSP platform within dry-labs organised one day a week; I also had the chance to participate in the courses organised to use the robotic platform, where I learnt the advantages, disadvantages, as well as some tricks and tips to the new platform. A truly a wonderful experience!" Read his report.

Highlights include Hands-on Training (HOT) courses such as Intermediate Laparoscopic Training (LUSs2), Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP), Sacral Neuromodulation (SNM) and kidney transplant (KT).
