January is a long month and as most resolutions last until the 11th of that month, I started my Get Financially Fit challenge on 15th. Here are an abbreviated list of what to do if your thoughts about your finances are making you feel like the sword of Damocles is hanging over your head waiting to strike,

  1. Know your numbers

2. Have some financial goals

3. Stop buying stuff you don’t need or LOVE!

4. Understand your tax position

5. Invest

6. Diversify

7. Wills

8. Insurances

9. Read/Study money

10. Enjoy

11. Pay debts on time

12 Emergency fund

13. Separate accounts

14 and 15 Intention and Mindset – THE BIG ONE!!!!!

If you need help dissecting these steps, then I suggest book an appointment with me. The thing which takes the most in depth work is the mindset work. That is so individual that I create a bespoke and in depth series of exercises for you based on your emotions, habits and histories. Personal finance is personal.

What I can do as a coach is find you money. Whether it is old forgotten money, higher earnings or money for your future you. I have ideas, normal people, not even your Dad, have thought about.

NETWALK with me into the Woods.

Last month saw the launch of my new initiative for Founders and Freelancers to Flourish in the Forest. I do like a bit of alliteration. It’s a mindful net walk where I bring my skills in Forest Bathing and tree and bird identification for one hour to wander in the woods. The next one is on 9 Feb. They will be every second Friday of the month throughout the year. So a Founders and Freelancers, Flourishing in the Forest on a Friday. Please book on, here is the link. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/796769397717?aff=oddtdtcreator

International Women's Day

International Women’s Day is around the corner and for the 3rd year running I have an event planned. It is at the Pavilion in Graylingwell and is a Practical Pensions in the Pavilion workshop. I will also be looking at fintech and how we as women can find ways to level our finances up. Even with all of the additional inequalities that exist. Here is the link to book. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/international-womens-day-pensions-other-investments-and-fintech-tickets-810366898207?aff=oddtdtcreator

Pricing and Value

Price rises are afoot. I have undertaken my due diligence and decided to put my prices more in line with the value I bring. The increases take place from 1 March. Until then, current prices will be held. So, anyone booking in February will be able to take advantage of the current fee structure.

Do you run a small or medium sized business?

B2B – I have been approached by a recruiter to submit my CV for a job with a company which specialises in Personal Finance workshops and mentoring for companies and for about 1 second, I was tempted – this is what the universe does – tries to move me off my course! My course is to work with creatives sorting out their money issues and big corporates are not for me. Read my article here concerning my why! So if you have a company that has staff who need help with their personal finance, please get in contact and once again, I will put a bespoke, fun workshop in place and spend time on a one on one basis. I have said before that no amount of breathing workshops or teambuilding days will help anyone if they are super stressed about paying their ever-rising bills. Once again contact me for details. Below is a link to an article I wrote concerning Corporate versus creative.
