A new year, a new drive — 2025 is already in full swing: from groundbreaking innovations to sustainable progress, we’re setting the course for the road ahead. This edition brings 7?? key moments, shaping our journey.

1. ?? Delivery numbers

In 2024, the Volkswagen Group achieved nine million deliveries, despite a challenging market environment. We proudly introduced over 30 new models, including many all-electric vehicles.

? Significant growth in North America (+6%) and South America (+15%).

? BEV order intake in Western Europe surged by 88%.

? Our top three BEV models are Volkswagen ID.4 / ID.5, Volkswagen ID.3 and Audi Q4 e-tron.

Moving forward with a clear vision: amidst the largest transformation in our company's history, CEO Oliver Blume discusses the challenges and #opportunities facing the Volkswagen Group and remains optimistic.

In recent interviews, Blume talks about Volkswagen Group future plan, the situation on the global markets, the new collective bargaining agreements, the wave of new models from all brands, and #software as the key to success.

3. ?? When climate protection & innovation go hand in hand

?? Silao plant in Mexico achieves 100% compliance with ecological management criteria.

Sustainability is the future, also in Mexico: Volkswagen MX plant in Silao got certified for their efforts as an environmentally clean company and achieves 100% compliance with ecological management criteria, e.g.

• Air and soil,
• Water and waste,
• Noise and atmospheric emissions.

?? ?Bigger heating pumps

MAN Energy Solutions projects provides mega-sized heat pumps for district heating, in these three European cities.

Esbjerg: the local energy provider, DIN Forsyning , started operations of their 70 MW-pump in November of 2024. Combined with additional systems, the whole plant saves about 120,000 tons of CO2, annually.

Helsinki: the 35 MW-installation, run by Helen S?hk?verkko Oy , will start in 2026, saving 26,000 tons CO2, annually.

In Cologne, RheinEnergie AG , is investing 280 Mio. EUR to save 100K tons of CO2 per year. Starting in 2027, Europe’s largest river-heat-pump will start operations with 150 MW.

4. ?? ELLI & LOGPAY for more customer service

The new Elli Mobilty GmbH is a merger of LOGPAY Financial Services Transport Services and will start in March to concentrate customer benefits:

? One contact partner for all fuel, charging, and even carwash services

? Innovative products, e.g. access to the charge and fuel offering, featuring advanced solutions such as home charging

? Expanding services across Europe, ensuring accessibility and convenience for diverse fleet needs.

5.?? 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp

As part of the remembrance board members, the Works Council, and employees joined a wreath-laying ceremony followed by ?a presentation of the company’s archives forum about an adaptation of the exhibition “Flashes of Memory”, curated by Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center .

6. ?? All-electric ID.4 Pro offers clear CO? benefits ?

Take a look at the key numbers:

• A better carbon footprint after around 66,000 km with green power compared to ICE (around 97,000 km with the EU power mix).
• Around 50% CO? savings over its entire life when charged with green electricity (EU mix).
• Around 25% CO? reduction when charged with the conventional EU power mix.<

7. ? Chemnitz: the "Capital of Culture"-year began

An official celebration, opening show, and outdoor rave.Volkswagen Group is proud supporter of Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH and helped on the opening weekend as a mobility partner.
