January Market Update
First and foremost, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year.
At Tiger, we are excited about what 2024 may bring, particularly given some of the challenges faced in the first three quarters of 2023. While economic headwinds and geopolitical factors impacted hiring conditions for most of last year, the market subsequently settled and it was refreshing to see many employers ending the year on a positive note. We kick off 2024 with a renewed vigour and optimistic outlook.
After a quiet December, I am expecting a sharp increase in hiring for Q1. Already, we’re seeing quality jobseekers – driven by a desire for salary increases, career opportunities, and improved benefits?– commence their search, while employer confidence spurs hiring activity.?To ensure that your overall employment packages are as competitive as they can be,?request a copy of our 2024 Salary and Benefits Review.
Tiger was certified as a Newsweek? Most Loved Workplace?last year, and I was invited to their podcast, The Leader Show with Louis Carter, to discuss leadership and fostering a successful work culture. You can watch a recording of the episode here.
2024 trends
We’re seeing an increased demand for senior-level staff – particularly chief of staff, head of people, and CTO positions – and we expect this to continue as businesses look to hire more leaders in the months ahead. Our specialist consultants take a highly bespoke approach to executive search and have established global networks in place. Please don’t hesitate?to?contact us?if you are hiring for top-level positions.
AI will continue to tighten its grip on the evolution of business in 2024, from?improving HR capabilities with better onboarding to increasing knowledge management and employee engagement. Furthermore, AI will be adopted by organisations across the board, from boutique?family offices?to multinational corporations. This year it will be increasingly important for professionals to develop an understanding of AI to leverage its benefits.
If you're hiring administrative roles in Q1, make sure to?pre-order a copy of our business support market update?with expert advice and key trends from our directors, Rebecca Siciliano and Angela Lopes, due for release in early February.
What's happening at Tiger
Over the next 12 months, we are expecting organic growth from our international offices in Dubai, New York and Zurich, as well as across our business support, private, HR, finance and accounting, and digital divisions. In London, our experienced consultants across all our verticals saw strong numbers of new business referrals last year and are expecting more of the same in 2024. Do remember that we have a referral scheme in place, should you know of someone looking to hire.
