At Milwaukee PBS we are heading into the new year with special recognition. Last month our production, ADELANTE, received a regional EMMY Award for outstanding achievement in public affairs for its coverage of A DAY WITHOUT LATINOS. We congratulate Patricia Gomez and Yvonne Sanchez for their work, not only on this project, but for their daily efforts to report on our influential and growing Latino community in southeastern Wisconsin. This brings us to a total of 10 awards for excellence in storytelling over the past 12 months and we are proud of every member of our team for the quality they bring to the stories we deliver to you every day.
In 2023 we will continue to celebrate our 65th year in broadcasting with some terrific activities, not the least of which will be the opportunity to travel with Milwaukee PBS to some fascinating well-known attractions around the Midwest, as well as some hidden gems of locations. For those interested in traveling abroad, look for information coming soon on our 2023 trip to England’s Yorkshire Dales, a tribute to our PBS Masterpiece show, ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL.
