What do you do at Employee Matters?

I have been with Employee Matters since its inception in 2011.?In that time I have worked in recruitment, marketing and most recently focusing on our systems.?I have a lot of contact daily with our team and clients, helping to sort out any systems issues that arise. I also step back into the Recruitment space when needed.?

?What's your background???

I am originally from Sydney and started my working life in investment banking.?I moved to New York in the 90's and spent a wonderful and eventful 10 years living in New York and working for years in several African countries.?I got my start in recruitment in 2008 after starting a family in Sydney.?I then moved to Dubai for a few years.?I am now settled in Tauranga, New Zealand and live on an 20 acres just outside town.??

?What's your favourite thing you own and why?

Every country I visit I like to bring home something to remember my time there.?I have travelled a lot so I have a lot of stuff ! Being surrounded by it all is a constant reminder of my travels.?

Would you rather be an expert at one thing, or pretty good at many things??

I am definitely pretty good at a lot of things - it has become part of my job which suits me perfectly.?

?What are the values that drive you?

I am driven by helping people and treating others how I wish to be treated myself.?I have been a blood and plasma donor for years in Australia, USA and now in New Zealand, and I am soon to begin volunteering as a cancer society patient driver; giving back is really important to me.?

?Your favourite podcast??

I am a True Crime tragic so I like shows like?"Generation Why" and "True Crime Garage", I also love listening to people's stories so The Moth and Risk are also favourites.??

?And the last book you read?

I just finished Miriam Margolyes "This Much is True" which was hilarious and I look forward to every new David Sedaris book and essay that comes out.?I favour biographies and essays.

?What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I travel regularly to see my family in Sydney; the border closure was hard and I am glad its all in the past.?Living on a lifestyle block keeps me busy I am always mowing or doing something outside and we will be getting some cows soon which will be interesting to say the least.?This year I am hoping to go to Europe and visit friends, which will definitely involve visiting new countries and obtaining more stuff!?
