 As it says in the TV series “Winter is coming”, well in this case January is coming and you need to be ready to make the best of it.

You are probably thinking about Christmas, parties and New Year. The food, the drink, the relatives, the Christmas carols. Looking for that new job role appears to be a million miles away. But it is coming and coming soon.

 December is the lowest recruitment time of year for permanent jobs. There are still jobs out there, however, due to a number of circumstances HR and Hiring Managers slow down or stop all together in December. If you are looking for a new job, do not stop because they have, it is a big mistake.

 When early January comes, there is an avalanche of vacancies and people are frantic trying to fill them. This is because individuals left their companies in November or early December. People have put off replacing them until New Year. New positions have been created and filling those jobs has been put off until January. Now the race is on to fill them quickly. You need to get your running shoes on now.
