Themes of the Week

  • Another light week of capacity changes (Thank you!)
  • We are rooting for UW to win the National Championship since they have their own livery and Michigan doesn't (ahem Delta!) - and Brad would prefer a Michigan State livery anyway :)

Capacity Update

To see a detailed list of U.S. domestic and international capacity changes by airline, please click here.

Avelo extended their schedule through June 10.

JetBlue reduced capacity between 6% and 7% week over week from April through August. They suspended nine routes during various months in the April through August period.

Southwest suspended BDL to FLL from March through April 12.

United reduced June capacity 1% week over week and suspended 14 routes in May and June.

Note: Schedule information presented in the Weekly Airline Schedule Summary comes from what is loaded in Cirium schedules via Diio Mi and may not reflect what airlines are actually selling.?

Essential Air Service (EAS) L48 Markets by Airline

There are 107 current EAS markets in the Lower 48 with Contour and United each having 21% of the contracts for service. The state of Michigan has the most EAS cities at nine, followed by Nebraska and Montana with 7. It appears that Advanced Air will be taking over CEC's contract in March and we will update the map once that is confirmed.
