My Sports Bets for January?24th

Yesterday was a crazy day in the NFL. Heck, it was a crazy entire weekend in the NFL. On Saturday, I only bet the NFL, but yesterday I decide that I needed to bet other sports. I know it’s exciting to bet one sport and concentrate on it. However, I like to spread my money around. I went 12–18 in Soccer, 4–6 in NHL, 15–7 in College Basketball, and 11–11 in NBA. Overall, I was 42–42 for 50%, but ended winning money because I hit some big plus bets in soccer. Let’s get it going today with these bets.

My Thoughts On The Rock, The Undertaker and The Surprises?

The Undertaker

I think that everyone saw that The Undertaker will be in St. Louis…to support his wife, Michelle McCool. However, do you any of you think that The Undertaker can be anywhere near Vince McMahon without him bothering him for something? Nah. We know that’s not happening. It should be announced at The Royal Rumble that The Undertaker will be the main inductee of the 2022 Hall of Fame Class in Dallas, Texas. The rumor also is going around that The Undertaker will be wrestling his last match in front the WWE Universe at WrestleMania against AJ Styles. It is one of the main reasons that Styles re-signed.

The Entrants

Everyone heard that Mickie James-Aldis is one of the entrants of the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble on TV. Pat McAfee announced her as the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion which was jumping the gun somewhat. It was a shock to some backstage because she was going to be a surprise entrant and may not have had the championship at the time. However, notice that she hasn’t been mentioned on TV since and hasn’t appeared. Mickie stated that she was going to be wearing the Impact Wrestling Championship to the ring. Rumor is that Vince McMahon said hell no, she won’t. We’ll have to wait and see if she does, but one thing is…she’s not winning the Rumble.

As of right now, Bron Breakker, LA Knight, Grayson Waller and Gunther (Formerly known as WALTER) will be alternates in the Royal Rumble from WWE NXT. However, I have heard from two people on Sunday, January 23rd that Bron Breakker will be an entrant definitely because Vince McMahon absolutely loves him. Breakker has the look and the attitude that he loves. Gunter may be a different story. Vince doesn’t get him, his story, why he wouldn’t jump at the offer to move to the US a year ago and why Triple H wanted to push him even though he wasn’t here. Everyone is down on WWE NXT 2.0 and don’t think most should be in the Rumble. It is my understanding that if someone gets sick or injured then Gunther may be an entrant, but probably not.

Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss will be back as a misunderstood evil heel that fans never totally understood. The Wrestling Informer has stated that Alexa Bliss and Lilly have been HUGE merchandise sellers especially Lilly the doll. So it was decided to have her comeback as evil Bliss rather than as The Goddess. Many thought that Bliss had been pushing to go back to The Goddess because she felt that WWE Creative didn’t know what to do with her character after The Fiend was gone. Even while Alexa Bliss was off TV, her merchandise continued to sell and fans tweeted about her return with Lilly.

Nick Khan and The Rock = Friends?

As many of you have heard, Nick Khan doesn’t care about what WWE Creative thinks or even what the wrestlers think. He cares about the bottom line. Khan was brought in to clean up duplicate expenses, streamline operations and combine departments. While doing all of that Khan has found out WWE doesn’t push the wrestlers or the storylines that make them money. If you read my previous article talking about Big E being the WWE Champion and not selling tickets or merchandise then you saw this played a factor in him losing his championship. Same reason that Riddle will be getting his own single shot at the WWE Championship soon. His own merchandise were big sellers, but the RK-Bro merchandise has been also.

Who is Nick Khan? Why should you care? Well if any of you listened to Keepin’ It 100 on Thursday, January 20th episode then you heard Nick Aldis from NWA filling in for Konnan. He spoke about how The Rock and Nick Khan were childhood friends. Then Nick Aldis said it was no secret to anyone in the WWE at the time that Shawn Michaels and Triple H didn’t treat The Rock very well. He said there were reasons that Michaels and The Rock didn’t have a program. It is said that The Rock has never been impressed with them. Due to this, many believe that Nick Khan is stripping down WWE NXT 2.0 with Bruce Pritchard, Johnny Ace and Kevin Dunn’s help. The Big Three don’t need Triple H’s baby to be looking great. Nick Khan doesn’t want to spend tremendous amounts of money on talent that will never make it back on the main roster. He is pushing for quicker decisions on talent and not keeping a lot of older veterans around to take up TV time.

Finn Balor

As was reported by a lot of websites this week, Vince McMahon doesn’t know what to do with Finn Balor. He doesn’t see him as a champion which is why he has been letting Austin Theory work with him. Triple H begged for Balor to be let to come back to NXT, so it was granted. In NXT, Finn Balor got his mojo back and became their champion. This upset people on the main roster who said Balor couldn’t cut it up with the big boys. Due to his popularity, Balor was drafted back up to the main roster and put into a program with Roman Reigns.

Finn Balor as a babyface who turns into the Demon at certain times was brought to Vince McMahon’s attention. He thought that he could sell merchandise with the Demon like he did The Fiend. McMahon didn’t understand that the Demon was undefeated and by putting him against Roman would destroy the character especially with the ring ropes being cut. So they dropped it and moved Balor. At this point, Finn Balor would just like to leave, but the Big Three don’t want to let him go. They know he would immediately go to AEW or Impact Wrestling to be with The Bullet Club members.

I’m hearing for us to look for Tomas Ciampa, Pete Dunne, Roderick Strong and Dakota Kai to be moved to Main Event or even left off TV after The Royal Rumble. After Elimination Chamber, they may all be quietly let go with Aliyah, Xia Li, Shotzi and Mustafa Ali. All of this depends on their dark matches, their evaluations to get on The Rumble and if they can catch Vince’s interest then some may go to Saudi Arabia for the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. I just hope that Finn Balor will be let go with them.

The Women’s Royal Rumble

UGH! This is the hardest thing to find any semi-definite information on. A lot of the wrestlers and crew have no clue on what is going on with the women’s division until the day of the TV show or the Premium Live Event. Plus you have certain wrestlers and their friends that are so private that it’s hard to get much information period about them. These are Sasha Banks, Bayley, Becky Lynch and Carmella. They have been burned or seen others burned in the past, so they don’t talk much and have told their friends/family not to either. So before Sasha Banks got hurt in North Carolina, she was winning the Royal Rumble and Ronda Rousey was coming back to face Becky Lynch.

Now, many in podcasting and websites believe that the winner of it will be Bianca Belair. Actually I was hearing Asuka, but it is looking like Liv Morgan or Alexa Bliss may get the call. Around the middle of the week, it should be definitely decided…hopefully depending on Vince McMahon. He wants the Four Horsewomen involved in WrestleMania this year along with Ronda Rousey, but he may not get his way. I’m hearing from numerous people the same exact things. It depends on a lot of different factors of appointments happening in the beginning of the week and Ronda’s decision.

Sasha Banks has been seen around Orlando doing normal things with a slight limp and going to rehab. Some in WWE say that if given a high number then she could appear if the doctor will clear her to win through some distraction or pulling something. Bayley, who has been in Austin, Texas the past couple weeks rehabbing, flew back to California this weekend to be check by her doctor and surgeon for her evaluation on Monday. WWE was hoping that she could come back if needed, but it is unlikely at this time since she hasn’t even been running ring ropes let alone taking bumps that any of them know. Ronda wants to come back, but is unsure of things surrounding travel and Covid-19. WWE has had Becky speak to her about how she handles the baby’s travel and time schedules. To me, it sounds like Vince wants Sasha, Ronda, Bayley, Alexa, Charlotte, Bianca, Asuka and Liv in that order. Right now, I would say it will be Alexa Bliss or Charlotte Flair.

The Men’s Royal Rumble < Elimination Chamber

With Roman getting Covid-19 before Day 1, it threw everything out of whack. They needed a big happening at Day 1 to cement it in as a big yearly event. Therefore, they turned to Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship. Now, how do they get it off him or get a championship off Roman Reigns? Who should be the one to lose their championship? Many of you will say…no…not Roman. Well, why not? The sticking point is that Brock Lesnar has to be in Saudi Arabia. It’s in his contract and it’s in the WWE/Saudi contract. So if Brock loses to Bobby Lashley then he would have to win the Rumble or they would make a stipulation where he could win the Elimination Chamber to get to Roman.

It is my understanding from one source and from the Wrestling Informer that Bobby Lashley will beat Brock Lesnar by MVP and Paul Heyman interferring which will cause Lashley to drop MVP. An upset Brock will illegally enter the Royal Rumble towards the end and go crazy eliminating the final four with Riddle/Omos being the last one. WWE will then rule that Brock must win the Elimination Chamber against the men he eliminated when he entered the Royal Rumble illegally to get to WrestleMania and Roman/Paul Heyman. At Elimination Chamber, Bobby Lashley could take on Riddle and lose the championship there. Leaving Riddle vs Randy Orton for WM Night One or Vince may decide to pull the trigger on Omos. If so, then we may get Bobby Lashley vs Omos. Brock will win the Chamber in Saudi Arabia and face Roman Reigns at WM Night Two.
