C-CAMP in 2024: A year of creating societal impact through deep science research and innovation
C-CAMP celebrated a successful 2024 where we partnered with organisations in India and beyond in order to scale up our efforts in addressing societal challenges through cutting-edge science and innovation. It was a year of forming key partnerships to enable solutions across healthcare, agriculture, and environment for India, LMICs and the world. Some of these solutions aim to reduce AMR burden, improve access to diagnostics for infectious diseases, strengthen India's public healthcare in tier 3 and 4 cities, enhance local and global food security, and boost climate resilience within agricultural practices. We are continuously working to push for India's second green revolution with our 100+ solutions in agriculture and a cleaner, greener and sustainable future with solutions such as waste-to-value products, improved practices for water and sanitation management.
Over the years, C-CAMP has funded 500+ life-science solutions valued at a total of 1.5 Billion+ USD, fueling the bio-economy towards the 2047 vision of a Viksit Bharat and the visionary BioE3 policy. To foster the spirit of bio-entrepreneurship among the next generation, our newer initiatives in 2024 have focussed on promoting bio-entrepreneurship skills among academic researchers and encouraging cross disciplinary dialogues between science, engineering and medical sectors to foster bio-medical innovations.
Our 10 state-of-the-art technology platforms have enabled studies and 260+ publications in the most frontline science. Partnerships with global giants are now unleashing the power of these platforms to drive the most advanced research and innovation in biotechnology in the country. Simultaneously, we are working on the translation and commercialisation of academic inventions into product-stage technologies for sepsis management, early-stage skin cancer remediation, single-cell molecular detection and analysis, and bio-control agents for crop diseases. 2024 saw tech transfers and licensing of 3 of our technology assets in medicine and agriculture to the biotech industry.

1 个月Excellent work! It’s important that research drives our understanding of who, where, what, when, and why. Not to mention that the Pros and Cons need to be evaluated so that alternate diseases or illnesses do not take over the where the primary source/cause is reduced. Go technology!
