Updates

Web

Barcode Scanner Version 7.0.0

We've added the?Find & Pick?feature to the Web?SDK. Pre-define one or more barcode values and the SDK's AR overlay will highlight them in the viewfinder when detected. This is especially useful for warehousing, inventory management, and last-mile logistics.

Document Scanner Version 7.0.0

With this release, the?Document Scanner RTU UI v.2.0?comes to our Web?SDK!

Besides the improved visuals and the new document scanning flow, one of the most important changes is how the Document?API works: Whereas RTU UI v.1.0 used Page objects, v.2.0 introduces Document objects, which in turn contain the individual scanned pages.

Each page consists of an original image of the scan, various editing properties (e.g., crop, rotation, applied?image filters), metadata properties like the Document Quality Analyzer?result, and the processed image in different stages. You can add, remove, and reorder the scanned pages within the document as needed.

MAUI

Document Scanner Version 6.1.0

The?Document Scanner RTU UI v.2.0?is now also available for our MAUI SDK, bringing with it many more options for checking scan quality, applying filters, and localizing text strings.

We've prepared a short?introductory video?showcasing these features!

iOS & Android

iOS:

Android (coming very soon):

We've further improved security by introducing?AES-GCM encryption?to our Native SDKs. This method combines the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) algorithm with the GCM (Galois/Counter Mode) to achieve strong security at high throughput rates.

More than ever before, our customers in industries like insurance, banking, or healthcare can be confident that any sensitive information is fully protected when using Scanbot?SDK.
