Happy new year, where did January go? Time flies when you're helping a legendary chocolate brand celebrate a landmark birthday, and?across the pond we created a foreboding poster to launch a new Disney+ series.

Meanwhile, our co-founder Jon set out an optimistic view of this year's industry trends, whilst Luke McConkey was busy creating a photo-illustrated campaign for EDF's Paris Olympics sponsorship.?

Tobias Hall

Cadbury called upon Tobias Hall to help celebrate their 200th birthday this year.

Tobias brought their timeline to life, his charming illustrations depicting the iconic British brand's journey, which can found printed inside the wrapper of all the limited edition bars (as if we needed an excuse to buy one).

Disney Studios UK

Marianna Tomaselli

Disney have almost commissioned as many Handsome Frank artists as there are Marvel franchise series. The latest is this dramatic release poster for the new Disney+ show 'Echo', created by Marianna Tomaselli.

'Echo' is based on Marvel comics of the same name, and features anti-hero Maya Lopez (played by Alaqua Cox).Marianna's excellent use of colour creates an intimidating atmosphere, and her final poster design is dominated by the looming figure of conspicuous bad guy, New York crime lord Wilson Fisk / Kingpin.?

2024 Trends

With our sights set firmly on the future, our co-founder Jon spoke to CreativeBloq about the illustration trends we've noticed and what we expect to see this year.? We're predicting an increased interest in analogue mediums and a more collaborative approach to campaigns.?

EDF Renewables

Luke McConkey

BETC Paris commissioned Luke McConkey for a series of illustrations for EDF Renewables, who are one of the official sponsors of the Paris 2024 Olympics, and we love how Luke's joyous characters are let lose in these real-world campaign images.

Each scene highlights an Olympic Sport plus the infrastructures that will be supplying 100% renewable electricity for Paris 2024.
