England: Parents with late codes for two-year-old places

Step-by-step guidance for providers and parents

You may have seen that earlier this month the DfE put in a temporary system to support parents who won’t get their reconfirmation code until after 15 February. This may be too late for some settings to be able to offer them a place from April. NDNA raised this with the DfE who will send these parents a temporary manual code from HMRC with a letter explaining how they can use this code to claim their entitlement.?

This code is temporary but is valid until they receive their next digital code.?

The DfE has sent more information which we have summarised for providers and parents here.

Please give your views by the closing date of 7 March 2024. FAQs are also available. NDNA Cymru will be completing its own response to the consultation based on member's views.?
