January 2024

Dear School Leaders and School Partners,?

I launched LeadTeam Partners a year ago with the idea that I’d provide school partner (consultant/vendor) search services for school leaders across the country. I was excited to attend national conferences, present and sponsor association events, and genuinely connect with school communities. As such, I am especially excited to host a panel at CASE-NAIS on “Evaluating and Selecting Council for Your Next Capital Campaign.” If you are in Austin, join us on Monday, January 22, at 1:30 pm CST.

The last 12 months have also encouraged me to be open to other opportunities when they arise, like advancement consulting and project management. I’m grateful to Oakwood School (VA), Sparhawk Academy (MA), Providence Academy (VA), and others for trusting me to provide such counsel.?

Moving into LeadTeam’s second year, I am excited to continue offering a platform for leaders to strategize, motivate, and celebrate called The Huddle. For me, it’s a passion project and allows me to dig into current hot topics across the leadership team table. January’s conversation is about balancing academic excellence and student wellness. It arose from a conversation with Richard Davis, Dean of Academic Life, at The Hotchkiss School. Registration is free, and this particular conversation is in partnership with the Association of Independent Maryland and DC Schools (AIMS) and the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools (CAIS).

While still committed to growing my school partner search practice in 2024, I’m also delighted to help school leaders through advancement consulting and project management. I will also provide more opportunities to support my school partner friends, like organizing the DMV School Partners group and more.?

Execution is at the heart of LeadTeam’s mission, so know that you can call on me to help in a few different ways in 2024.?

Best,

Chris

PS: If you live in one of these markets (Austin, Charlotte, Miami, Philly, New Jersey, or Seattle), I’ll be heading your way in the coming months. Let me know if you’d like to schedule a campus visit.

Truth Tree's?School Marketing Predictions for 2024:

“I predict elite high school student-athletes will begin exploring the possibilities around NIL (name, image, and likeness). The impact for school administrators with these particular families will be that they will first consider the financial upside of joining one independent school over another. NIL money will have a direct impact on enrollment, financial aid, and retention as its availability grows among high school athletes.”
