To kick off the new year, Westcon's Networking and Infrastructure team got together at the Netherlands office to review the past year, realign in the present and put our heads together for a success driven future.
Our bi-annual events are so vital to bring our teams together to work as one. Over the last few years we've learnt how important it is to meet together in person. It boosts morale and motivation, especially for our remote workers.
We spend this valuable time together mind mapping, working on team alignment and sharing business updates. But we also squeeze in some fun with team building activities to let us create special memories together!
Our team activity this year was a culinary experience like no other! The Westcon team came together to cook a 3 course meal at Keukenvuur in Utrecht. Somehow, despite the chaos and competition and several strands of pasta being hurled around at speed, we managed to pull it off by creating something rather delicious!

Private wireless delivers ROI and strategic benefits to many industries.
Enterprises are increasingly aware of the advantages of deploying private wireless network solutions in their business – but many remain hesitant about pushing ahead with deployment, worried about costs, the effects of implementation and what would be the likely ROI.
"Nokia, in conjunction with GlobalData, surveyed 79 industrial enterprises around the world in verticals including manufacturing, transportation, and energy. These companies either have already adopted private 4G/5G or are currently evaluating such a move". Offering "immense encouragement and reassurance to enterprises considering deploying private wireless and industrial edge".
The fact is, the majority of companies report a noticeable – and rapid – ROI!
More than 50% of the companies surveyed reported their total cost of ownership (TCO) reduced by more than six per cent from an OPEX perspective.
