Jan Gerber Photo Art
Biography
I have been taking pictures since I was 12, first with a Kodak “starling box”. The borrowed bellows camera from Uncle Jan. He also showed me around in the darkroom. In the analogue period until 2005 I mainly photographed family and did wedding photography. In 2006 I bought a full frame digital camera and discovered Photoshop. The inexhaustible darkroom. The start of my photo art projects. I make realistic-looking photos that consist of photo collages. I create fictional worlds and situations by sometimes using 80 photos per image. Education To learn the technique I took lessons in Photoshop. First basic and then advanced. Now I mainly learn from tutorials on the internet for the newer techniques.
Method I work according to a fixed plan. 1. Starting with an idea, 2. Test the feasibility 3. Make a list of the necessary photos 4. Research where to make them 5. Travel to the locations 6. Make a concept without models in PS and print them 7. Photograph the models in the studio 8. Merge and refine the work. Registration Chamber of Commerce under number: 65430190
