JAMBO Tanzania| STSA Travelled To Tanzania for Africa’s Mega Power & Energy Africa Conference

As part of our marketing strategy, to position and promote STS as the only globally proved open standard for prepayment system, our team exhibited at the 07th Power & Energy Africa that took place at the Diamond Jubilee Expo Centre in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania from 23 - 25 February 2023.?

POWER & ENERGY Africa conference is an international trade show with the widest range of the latest technology, machinery and equipment in the power and energy sector. Spread over a period of three days, the event brings together decision makers and influencers as well as technical experts and professionals from leading companies involved in power & energy generation, transmission and distribution sector within Africa and around the globe.

Our key focus at the conference was to drive communication about STS EDITION 2 ?- The Evolution of STS into Smart Metering whilst highlighting the urgency of the TID ROLLOVER EVENT that will be taking place on the 24th of November 2024. We shared information on how municipalities or power generators can go about implementing their TID projects and emphasised the importance of starting immediately to avoid utility services crisis.

Exhibiting at this event allowed us to showcase STS services to the industry's largest gathering of qualified decision-makers and trade visitors from all over East & Central Africa. We also introduced STS technology and solutions to the East Africa market and established direct contact with Executives from ?companies who have shown a keen interest in the?STS?Technology.

We were also privileged to meet the beautiful people of Tanzania and learn more about their culture. Tanzania is an East African country known for its broad wilderness areas. This include the plains of Serengeti National Park, a safari mecca populated by the big five and of course the Kilimanjaro National Park which is a home to Africa’s highest mountain known as Mount Kilimanjaro.?It is also a home to the most famous island known as Zanzibar.

One of the most memorable things about our trip to Tanzania was learning about their culture. One of the things that was a culture shock was the “Hakuna Matata" way of life. It is a popular saying in Swahili which means there is no problems but in practice it meant that do not rush. Meaning that you must not rush to do anything be it waiting for food or going somewhere on time. They call it Tanzanian time.

We are also thrilled to have participated in Power & Energy Africa 2023 Conference and are grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many other industry leaders and professionals across Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Somalia, Mozambique & Congo.?
