A jam-packed fall
Dear Engineers,?
I hope you’ve had a fantastic summer, are well-rested, and ready to achieve great things this fall! That’s exactly how I feel after a long summer with a mix of sun and sea around the Mediterranean, and challenging hikes in the mountains of J?mtland here in Sweden.
The world is a bit shaky, and there is much that isn’t going well. That makes it even more reassuring to work on something that aims to be a positive force in the world—celebrating and uplifting engineers and the art of engineering feels important and good.
This fall is packed with activities for those of us working on Engineering Day and for those of you who enjoy participating in our events.
We’re starting with a favorite from the past as the “Masterclass & Breakfast” concept returns this fall. The idea is to gather local experts who share their knowledge during short Masterclasses while we enjoy breakfast and get to mingle with other engineers. The goal is to make the event brief, effective, and inspiring. We’ll be in Gothenburg on September 26th and Malm? on October 24th. Will we see you there?
Another favorite is seeing all the amazing nominations, projects, and people submitted for the Grand Prize for Engineering. Unfortunately, many missed the nomination window this spring and have reached out to ask if it’s too late to submit their entries. Of course not! We’re launching a new round, which we’re calling the second chance, from October 4th to 11th. So take this opportunity to honor someone you admire!
I also want to take a moment to thank all of you who have already booked your tickets for Engineering Day 2024 in November. It’s going to be so much fun to open the doors for you again this year :)
Warm regards,
Linus
