3 Reasons to consider a job in manufacturing:

There are several reasons you should consider finding a career in manufacturing. Its a sector that doesn't get as much attention as tech, or healthcare, but its just as important.... here's 3 reasons why a career in manufacturing would be rewarding.

1. The pay is good. You might be surprised to know that manufacturing jobs tend to offer higher wages and better benefits than other careers. Take a look at the ranges listed above!
2. Manufacturing grows the economy. Not only could you increase your own compensation in many cases, you'll also help grow the overall US economy and create more jobs. Manufacturing contributes around $2.3 Trillion Dollars to the economy, making up roughly 12% of the GDP. Additionally, every dollar spent in manufacturing results in an additional $2.79 added to the economy.
3. Job Security. This one might surprise you, but its true. Manufacturing had generally fewer layoffs over the last few years than other sectors, especially retail and professional/business services. This is true for several reasons, including steady demand for products, high investment in Plant success, and the specialization often required for certain manufacturing jobs. If you're tired of worrying about your job security, maybe there's a better option available to you.
