Jail House Attorney Hits another Home Run
The Evolution of Ex-felon Legal Advocate Extraordinaire, Jason A. Morris
Jason A Morris recently got out of prison approximately 2 years ago. Renowned throughout the Commonwealth of MA prison system "Known as the Brain", he's turned his life around helping hundreds of inmates reduce and overturn their criminal sentences as a jail house attorney and has been the architect behind overturning 2 murders to include as most recently published in the Boston Globe on 04/10/2017 Frederick Weichel who was convicted of murder in 1981 served 35 years in prison and whose conviction was overturned., and a high profile drug case well known to all, numerous pro se cases, 30 cases in total and always finds some niche backed by case law to reduce the defendant's sentences by far. His finale as a pro se defendant was reducing his own sentence from 15 years to 4, 4 and a day with time served. I was the defense investigator on his case as I watched him file hundreds of motions which stymied the court, all backed by thoroughly researched successful case law. His most recent accomplishment is as the architect behind the reversed pro se case in Commonwealth -Vs- Marchetti, Barnstable Superior Court #2010-112, where he drafted a corrected motion for new trial and motion to stay, which was denied. A pro-se appeal was taken on claims of double jeopardy and Counsel was ineffective for failing to raise it. After a long process the Massachusetts Appeals Court reversed the Jury verdict and affirmed the original plea deal see Commonwealth -Vs- Marchetti, Appeals Court #15-P-1622. Having known Jason now for approximately six years, I have come to know him as an honorable family man who I personally trust implicitly. I have no doubt that anyone who utilizes his expertise or seeks his advice on criminal cases will unequivocally equate into some form of valuable contribution, as he’s a exceptionally talented at the court chess game of reducing criminal sentences via capitalizing on Judicial, Prosecutor, & Police Procedure Errors. It’s a shame his talent is wasted as he struggles to stay afloat unable to obtain gainful employment due to his scarred criminal history.
