YouTuber facing jail sentence for faking plane crash
AvWeb reports that YouTuber Trevor Jacob is facing up to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to obstructing a federal investigation into a plane crash he orchestrated for online views. Jacob admitted to lying to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) about the crash location, and then destroying and discarding the wreckage, in violation of his agreement to preserve it:
