Jackets for the Homeless -- 2107 drive

Many, many thanks to everyone for helping make this year’s Jacket Drive a success! With your help, Transforming a Life was able to purchase and distribute almost 5000 jackets to those in need. Your generous donations this year allowed us to increase our numbers by 2400  jackets. We were also very excited to be able to expand the distribution area significantly! Here are the locations which received jackets this year.

Although we have had a warmer than usual winter, the night temperatures have been quite chilly, and there was a definite need for providing extra warmth during the cold nights. On many occasions, our volunteers were able to hand out the jackets directly to the homeless, and these volunteers were immensely touched by the overwhelming need of so many who live out on the streets. And despite the dire situation that so many endure, it was humbling to see the smiles of appreciation and gratitude upon receiving a new jacket.
