Jack The Law Ripper
Prosecutorial misconduct and overreach by Jack—the law ripper—Smith turns Justice upside down.
No matter whether Jack the Law Ripper tries to obliterate a former President of the United States, an FBI Agent, a Congressman, or a teenage Boy Scout of America, the damage is irreparable. The chaos is beyond bad, as the innocent suffer and the guilty often go free.
Prosecutorial misconduct includes abuses of power by pursuing political opponents, piling on, creating and leveraging lawfare, withholding exculpatory evidence, presenting misleading testimony, pressuring witnesses, ethical lapses, pursuing baseless charges, and intimidating witnesses. In addition to the Law Ripper's conduct, we have only to look at historical prosecutions like the Iran-Contra Affair, the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill, and the Michael Flynn case.
Such actions erode public trust, eliminate essential political competition, adversely impact elections, foster corruption, and create an unjust system.
In fact, Democracy can't survive when the law becomes a weapon rather than a shield, and equal justice crumbles under the weight of unchecked authority.
