What is it about?

The platform aims to provide a decentralised social network protocol , and the user data is free from influence by any government or corporation. You can also access their code, right here . By the way, that's not the only thing our man is toying with. There is Nostr - a decentralised social network with a chance of working. What a champ. We love Jack. Gotta love Jack ??

What do we know?

• It was originally incubated within Twitter starting in 2019 when Jack Dorsey served as CEO.
• The app is invite only , and it's in beta. Only for iOS, and not for Android.
• What about the features (and the similarities with Twitter?)
• Allows users to create 265 characters post (< Twitter’s 280).
• It uses "What's up?” instead of Twitter’s “What’s happening?"
• Users can share, mute and block accounts.
• Feed also has likes, comments and reposts.

Meanwhile, good ol' Twitter is dealing with its own issues. Their crypto ambitions are up in the air , and guess what - Twitter went down the same day Jack unleashed BlueSky to the world. Just a coincidence. Nothing major ??.
