Welcome, Jacek. Can you tell us a bit about your current role and your company, JD MARKETING?

I founded JD MARKETING in 2001, where we specialize in advisory services related to sales and international trade, as well as interim management. Our goal is to help businesses navigate the complexities of expanding and thriving in today's global market.


Your career spans several prestigious companies and roles. Could you share some highlights?

My journey includes roles such as Sales Director at SIGNproject in 2022, Team Manager at AEGON during 2015 and 2016, Country Manager for Poland at AT&T, Sales Manager at Siemens Mobile from 1999 to 2001, and a managerial position in the Support Department at HP in 1996. Each position has offered me unique insights into the sales and marketing landscape across various sectors.


JD MARKETING operates on a global scale. Which countries and regions are you primarily involved with?

We have a significant presence across the European Union, focusing on Central and Western Europe, including Austria, Germany, the Benelux countries, the Nordics, and Ireland. Beyond Europe, we're active in the UK, Russian-speaking markets like Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and others, as well as in Israel, the Middle East, and North Africa, covering countries such as Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.


That's an impressive reach. What sectors does JD MARKETING specialize in?

Our expertise spans technology, including IT services, cables, packaging, lighting, printing, and chemical materials, as well as FMCG, mining, and financial services. Our diverse sector involvement allows us to offer tailored solutions to a broad array of clients.


Can you elaborate on the services JD MARKETING offers?

We provide a range of services, including interim management, consulting, outsourcing, and market analysis. Our aim is to equip businesses with the knowledge and strategies they need to excel in their respective markets.


Partnerships can be crucial for business growth. Is JD MARKETING looking to expand its network of partners?

We're always open to forming new partnerships, especially with manufacturers in the technology sector who are medium-sized and looking to extend their international presence. Collaborations are key to our approach in broadening market reach and capabilities.


Finding the right clients is vital. How do you approach this challenge?

Our client prospecting strategy is multifaceted, involving social media, direct contacts, fairs, associations, and official data from country or EU institutions. We believe in leveraging a mix of traditional and modern channels to identify and engage potential clients.


Sustainability is a hot topic. How does it factor into your business operations?

While sustainability should be a cornerstone of any business, we find it's often a rollercoaster in practice. Our approach is pragmatic, focusing on sustainability where possible but also recognizing the challenges and limitations that businesses face.


Reflecting on challenges, could you share a particularly tough business challenge you faced and overcame?

One common challenge is recognizing when to stop a project. Whether due to insufficient funds or awareness, sometimes the best course of action is to either find the necessary resources or to gracefully exit. This decision-making process is critical to avoiding sunk costs and redirecting efforts more productively.


Do you have any favorite projects that you've worked on?

Yes, several projects stand out, such as packaging for a large Greek manufacturer in Western EU, international data transmission clients for AT&T, the rise of GSM networks for Siemens, and satellite communication for PAGI, among others. Each project has been uniquely rewarding and informative.


You've had an extensive and diverse career. When do you feel you're at your best?

I believe I'm at my best when bridging cultures and languages, thanks to my fluency in several languages and familiarity with various local cultures. This ability enhances my effectiveness in both corporate and small company environments.


What's something not everyone knows about you, perhaps something not on your LinkedIn profile?

While my professional life is an open book, many might not guess that I'm very active in sports, which is a passion of mine that parallels my business pursuits.


Success often comes down to a few key factors. What's your secret?

My approach combines prospecting, acting, and leveraging my extensive experience. I believe in thorough analysis, blending numerical data with market players' opinions, and maintaining close connections with people from all walks of life.


Looking at global trends, what are you most optimistic or pessimistic about?

I'm optimistic about market growth, especially in regions that are just beginning to realize their economic potential. As an engineer, I have great faith in technology. On the other hand, the political situation, especially in areas close to conflict zones, presents a source of
