IWD25: Ancient courage, modern strength – to women’s transformative power

Throughout history, even God’s infinite mercy extended an invitation to women to play pivotal roles in His redemptive plans. In the 14-generation genealogy from Abraham to David, the inclusion of remarkable women—Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba (referred to as ‘the wife of Uriah’)—underscores the fact that God’s plan has always embraced those who defy societal expectations.

These women, along with Mary, the mother of Jesus, stand as timeless testimonies of courage, faith, and transformation.

Love this insight as of now. In modern times, women continue to play a vital role in the church, ministry and society. They are involved in various ministries, community services and leadership positions, the current Vice President of the Republic of Ghana as a woman is a testament. The Biblical perspective on women's roles emphasizes their equal value and worth before God, as seen in Galatians 3:28, which states that "there is neither Jews or Gentiles, neither slaves nor freedoms nor is there male and female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus" Amen ??
