TOMS RIVER, N.J. April 25, 2018: Family First Funding's president, Gabriel Gillen, and CEO, Scott Weikel, announced today the launch of the company's new Private Client Group division, headed by Melissa Cohn, the New York City mortgage banker best known for the company she founded and built into a powerhouse mortgage company, Manhattan Mortgage.

"We never anticipated the kind of growth we've had," said Gabriel Gillen, "and we have purposefully chosen an organic growth over the past years to ensure seamless expansion. Having Melissa on board as we move into the private-banking sector continues our approach to thoughtful expansion that serves our clients. We are thrilled to have her."

"Finding the perfect fit for my style of mortgage banking - creative, timely, and best-rate opportunities for my busy and eclectic clientele - was a no-brainer," said Cohn. "We will be able to expand our options for clients with a seamless execution. It makes this move the perfect 'home' for my team."

Family First Funding will open offices in New York City, the Hamptons, and Connecticut to service the new banking division's already-growing list of clients and mortgage providers.

About Family First Funding

Family First Funding LLC offers high quality mortgage banking services to residential and business customers. Our aim is to provide our clients with competitive rates and reasonable fees, while keeping our clients informed and educated throughout the process. We will become friends and trusted advisors to our clients as well as quality service providers.

Family First Funding is a Direct Lender who has the ability to underwrite files within the corporate office in Toms River, New Jersey. While we would like to fund every loan ourselves, we realize that some borrowers do not fit the normal lending box. For that reason we have over 15 relationships with FHA and special Niche investors that allow us to provide financing for borrowers with less than perfect credit, no ability to document income (Commercial Loans), unique properties, and "back against the wall" deadlines.
