I've got sunshine on a cloudy day..

I’m sure everyone has had at least one day that’s been terrible, they felt down, haven’t gotten anywhere – or had any motivation to do so, since our lives have changed so drastically in March.

I feel like a lot of people are trying to be positive so much that they are not letting themselves deal with that, or are beating themselves up about having a shit day.

You can have a shit day, even a shit week but you need to remember it’s not always going to be that way. Let yourself feel it and move on, be solutions driven, think about doing something good and move past the bad vibes.

It’s easy to sink into a slump because you feel like you’re not getting anywhere no matter how hard you try but let’s be real – this is not normal life and it won’t be like this forever, not getting a sale or smashing your target right now is not determining your worth, doing the best you can to support those around you is. What is happening is a global crisis, think about the future and the light at the end of the tunnel to get through it.

For me I CANNOT wait to be out and about seeing my clients and candidates, I’m picturing it being a sunny day, dropping in frozen caprisuns and sharing our best quarantine stories. I’m picturing walking from one to the other in the sun feeling happy and knowing I will have jobs from my candidates who are desperate to find their next dream job. I’m picturing having laughs with my colleagues and hitting up the beer gardens after work celebrating a good week!

Everything will be ok, it’s a shit day not a shit life :-)
