I've Got Some Good News to Share
I hardly ever do this.
But then, I only get a new book deal every few years, so I'm indulging. (Smile.)
My next book Talking on Eggshells? will be published by New World Library (the publisher of Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now, which was a New York Times bestseller for 100 weeks.
I'm particularly excited about this book because I'll be working with Editorial Director Georgia Hughes, who I had he privilege of meeting years ago when I was the Executive Director of the Maui Writers Conference.
In fact, Georgia and I used to swim together at our celebratory pool parties where we debriefed the event, toasted the sunset with Mai Tai's, talked story and shared highlights.
Heartfelt thanks to MWC founders Shannon Miles and John Tullius for the ongoing legacy of that one-of-a-kind event, which Writers Digest called "the best writers conference in the world."
Here's my request.
If you've read any of my books or participated in any of my live or online programs, you know every point is illustrated with an OraStory- a put-people-in-the-scene example with visual detail and dialogue that shows how this works in "real life."
Those Orastories come from my personal experience and from people who share their situations with me in workshops and conversations.

Do you have a sensitive or challenging situation - on or off the job - you'd like me to address in this book that would help make it a must-read?
I've included a brief description of "Talking on Eggshells," a draft Table of Contents, and a form to submit your story in my newsletter which you can access at this link.
I invite your questions and recommendations regarding these situations. I am happy to attribute your story/suggestion or this can be anonymous, whichever you prefer.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your input.
I look forward to seeing your examples and insights, and know they'll contribute to making this book even more inspiring and useful.

2 年Sam Horn Still the best book every written on how to communicate with compassion, directness and respect. Time for a reread to refresh - especially in this time of harsh words and actions. I wish that everyone reads this book so we can restore civility and enjoy exploring our differences and varied viewpoints. I will put my thinking cap on re: a story to share. And am sharing your post w/my peeps. Can't wait for your new book! (We met long ago at the learning annex in San Francisco through Kare Anderson)
