I've been to the mountaintop...
"If Your Dream Ain't Bigger Than You, There's A Problem With Your Dream." Deion Sanders?
Today is a day where the phrase, " I have a dream" rings out loud across our nation. Yet at the same to we remember Dr. King's dream we are reminded of its cost. We are reminded that decades after his death the dream is still bigger than he was.?
I rarely meet folks dreaming impossible dreams, much less taking the action to make them possible. We have been trained like the lions in the zoo to live small lives and dream small dreams. Rather than roaming the wild open plains like we were designed. Small thinking has turned majestic creatures on display doing tricks for those who are scared of their own greatness. Loud roars have been silenced by small dreams.?
So on this day when we remember a man who dared to dream, we are still talking about him not because of his dream but because of his audacious belief in his mission.?
MLK didn't just invite us to go somewhere he hadn't seen. He invited us to climb a mountain he had already seen the other side of. Are there any dreamers who are ready to climb and take us with you??
Impossible dreams require new thinking. They require a clear vision and belief in achieving that mission. They require surrounding yourself with people who believe in you and your vision. They see obstacles as opportunities and what's on the other side of that wall and will run through that wall with you.?
What is YOUR dream that is bigger than YOU??
