Iulia Tucma: Developing Global Corporate Solutions

Iulia Tucma is a learning and development consultant for GLOBIS Corporate Solutions. She joined the company in March 2021. Originally from Romania, she worked at an IT company after gaining her undergraduate degree. In 2018, she joined the Full-time GLOBIS MBA, then worked at a Japanese company in inbound marketing.?

After gaining experience in Romania, Myanmar, and Japan, Iulia returned to work at GLOBIS because she was “impressed by the high-quality services and practicality of the classes.” She went on to say, “I chose GLOBIS because I was interested in education. GLOBIS believes that we can positively impact societies through the power of education. Gaining a deep understanding of the latest trends in talent development and working with global companies as a consultant was a point of attraction for me.”

On job responsibilities:

What does a consultant develop for clients?

Iulia says, “Needs vary, from future global leadership development to local leader development and business creation. We first analyze their needs, then go beyond what is obvious and propose training program-based solutions. While deepening our understanding of the market and strengthening the relationships with our clients, we have the opportunity to work with various lecturers and external collaborators.”

Client-facing work can be challenging, but is also very rewarding. When asked about her drive to work, Iulia mentions a few of GLOBIS’s values: freedom, self-development, and responsibility. “We have the freedom to start new projects, and we receive a lot of support from within the company.”??

On job satisfaction:

“My job offers me a lot of satisfaction by enabling me to truly understand the client’s needs and see things behind the scenes. Seeing our clients happy and noticing the development of the participants throughout the training programs is very rewarding.”

On personal mission (kokorozashi):?

“I believe a kokorozashi is something that changes throughout our lives, but there are some values or ideas which stay at the core of it. My kokorozashi is to transform the fear of the unknown into curiosity, to play a small role to end discrimination and offer equal opportunities. I believe in the power of education to positively impact societies. I would like to continue to challenge myself and contribute to the growth and globalization of GLOBIS, eventually, bringing more value to our clients and societies in general."?
