“Helping digital technologies reach their full potential and bringing their benefits to all 8 billion people on Earth — that’s why we’re all here at ITU Council 2023,” said ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin as the annual governing body for the UN digital agency convened on 11 July.

Council highlights

The annual ITU Council met in Geneva, Switzerland between 11 and 21 July.

The 48-member governing body reaffirmed ITU’s commitment to universal connectivity and sustainable digital transformation.
