It’s your fault and I’m not sorry

“Don’t shoot the messenger” is a metaphorical phrase used to suggest not blaming the delivery person for the bad news they’re about to deliver.

It’s said to have originated as an unwritten code of conduct in war over 2,000 years ago. During a conflict, a commanding officer was expected to receive and send back messages, often to the opposing side.

During the early “Warring States” period of China, the concept of chivalry and virtue prevented the executions of messengers sent by those opposing sides.

That said, there are examples of messengers not making it home later in history. I guess they didn’t get the memo about chivalry.

So, did you guess?

I’m about to deliver some bad news.

You’re in your current position in life due to the cumulated decisions you’ve made to date.

Ouch! That might hurt for some people.

Part of what I do with my coaching clients is to give them honest feedback to help them move forward.

I do the same here, for you. If all I did was placate you and never broach tough subjects, then all I’d be doing is feeding you pabulum.

And I don’t even think babies like that stuff.

I see my job as giving you an honest evaluation of your situation. Not doing so isn’t being fair to you. But, it’s with an honorable purpose.

So read on…

When you fail to recognize that you are the result of your past decisions and don’t take responsibility for your current station in life, you fail.

You also fail to realize that you have the ability to change your current situation by making decisions now, today, and move forward to where you want to go in life.

Making those decisions can be very easy.

Taking the necessary actions to get you to where you want to be in life can also be easy.

If you have a process to do so.

That’s what my free webinar is going to focus on. Creating your personal process.

And, for attendees there's two special bonuses which I'll tell you about next week.

It’s a simple couple of clicks: https://app.webinarjam.net/register/4971/4049b6be6b

It’s your decision to make it great.
