World Teachers’ Day?is just around the corner! On Friday 25 October, we will celebrate the incredible work you do and the lasting impact you have on Australia’s students and communities.

In a time when recognising our teaching profession is so important, it’s wonderful to see the celebrations planned this year. Our theme, “Hats Off to Teachers”, is a great way for the nation to show its appreciation for your expertise, dedication, creativity, and the support you provide to our young learners.

I encourage you to speak to your fellow teachers and school leaders, students, parents, and the wider community to take part in this celebration. It would be great if everyone shared a “hats off” selfie to help highlight the amazing work taking place in schools across Australia every day.
